29. Mar. - Nav Skolas | No School

Šo sestdien nav skolas bet vēl ir lietas ko darīt Brīvdienās: Rumaka lasīšanas konkurss, Lieldienas Kartiņas un Vēstules, un Vasaras Stipendijām. Skatiet, skolotājas Rūtas bebīša bildes beigās! Nākošā skolas diena būs 5. aprīlī un būs maza maiņa tanī sestdienā. Mēs neskatīsimies filmu "Straume" vai "Flow", jo baznīcā sestdien būs bēres. Skola beigsies 12os. Mēs izziņosim citu datumu, lai skatītos filmu. Rumaka lasīšanas konkurss: Konkurss iet līdz 1. aprilī.

1. Dalībnieki lasa latviešu grāmatas, žurnālus un citus izdevumus pēc savas izvēles. Skolēni lasa paši, vai ar vecākiem, vadoties pēc savām spējām un valodas līmeņa.
   

2. Dalībnieki latviski lasa uzdotajās vietās, laikos un veidos; tad iepilda attiecīgo kvadrātu.
   

3. Pilda ne vairāk kā vienu kvadrātu dienā. Katra kvadrāta pildīšanai veltī vismaz 10 minūtes lasīšanas laiku.
   

4. Pieraksta, ko lasīja.
   

5. Nofotografē sevi lasot latviski kādā no uzdotajām vietām, laikiem vai veidiem.
   

6. Vecāko klašu skolēni un pieaugušie dalībnieki apraksta savu piedzīvojumu lasot latviski īsā esejā. Jaunāko klašu skolēnu pieraksta grāmatas, ko lasījuši.
   

7. Sacensības beidzas 1. aprīlī. Sacensību beigās ģimenes lapas ieskennē vai nofotografē un lapu nosūt mnlatviesuskola@gmail.com kopā ar 1-2 fotografijām.
   

8. Ja vairums klases skolēnu lasa un aizpilda 51%, tabulas nodarbību (vismaz 16 nodarbību), kā arī pieraksta lasītās grāmatas un atsūt fotografijas un esejas, tad būs klases partīja. Ja visas klases aizpilda 51% merķis, tad visā skolā būs partîja.

Lieldienas kartiņas-vēstules:

1. Skatieties saitē "2025. g. Lieldienu vēstules" un atrodiet savas klases skolēnu vārdus, lai redzētu, kuŗam skolēnam jāsūta Lieldienu vēstule/apsveikums.
   

2. Jūs varat paši izlemt, vai vēlaties pie šī uzdevuma strādāt klasē vai uzticēt to vecākiem, lai viņi ar bērniem to izpilda mājās. Būtu labi, ja bērni vispirms uzrakstītu melnrakstu un pēc tam glīti pārrakstītu galējo variantu. Te ir pieejami paraugi, kurus var izmantot. Mazākiem bērniem var palīdzēt vai viņu vietā rakstīt vecāki, un viņu vēstule var būt arī krietni īsāka. Ja rokraksts ir grūti salasāms, vēstuli var arī ietipēt.
   

3. Kristīne Mertz 5. aprīlī atvedīs aploksnes un pastmarkas.
   

4. Lieldienu kartiņas gatavosim skolā 5. aprīlī. Ja nebūsiet, tad lūdzu bērniem pašiem uzzīmēt Lieldienu apsveikuma kartiņu un ierakstīt tajā vēlējumu Lieldienās.
   

5. Vēstules vajadzētu izsūtīt līdz 10. aprīlim, lai tās paspētu nonākt galamērķī pirms Lieldienām! Lūdzu atzīmējiet sarakstā, kad vēstule ir izsūtīta.

No school this week but there are still things to do during your break: Rumaka reading contest, Easter cards/letters, and summer program scholarships. If you make it to the end, there are pictures of teacher Ruta's new baby boy. Our next school day is April 5th and there will be a small change that day. We will not be watching the film "Flow" because there will be a funeral at church. School will end at noon. We will look for a new date to watch the movie. Rumaka Reading Contest: Contest goes until April 1st.

1. Participants read Latvian books, magazines, and other materials of their choosing. Students read by themselves, or with parents, depending on their abilities and language level.
   

2. Participants read in Latvian at the provided places, times, and ways to complete boxes.
   

3. Participants should complete no more than one box a day. Each box is considered complete if at least 10 minutes of reading occurred in Latvian.
   

4. 4th grade and younger - Record what was read on the provided form.
   

5. Take pictures of the participant reading in the provided places, times, and ways.
   

6. 5th grade and older participants will write a shory essay about their experience reading in Latvian.
   

7. The contest ends on April 1st. At the end of the contest, email, text or turn in completed forms (boxes, materials read or essay) and 1-2 pictures to mnlatviešuskola@gmail.com, Kristīne or JP before April 5th.
   

8. If the majority of students in each class complete 51% of the boxes (at least 16 boxes) and all forms, pictures were submitted, then the class will have a party. If all classes complete at least 51%, then the whole school will have a party.

Easter Cards with Letters:

1. Go to "2025. g. Lieldienu vēstules" and find your class and studentš name, so you can see which student was assigned to write Easter letters.
   

2. Your students teacher decided whether to work on the letters during class time or to be completed by students at home. It would be nice if your child could write a rough draft of the letter, and then write a nice final draft. Here are some example letters your student might find helpful. Parents can help smaller children with their letters; these can be shorter. If student handwriting is difficult to read, the letters can be typed.
   

3. Kristine Mertz will bring envelopes and postage on April 5th to school.

4. We will be making Easter greeting cards to go with our letters at school on April 5th.  If you will not be at school that day, then please ask your child to make an Easter greeting card with letter at home.
   

5. The Easter greeting cards with letters should be sent by April 10th so they can make it in time for Easter. Please mark that you have sent the card/letter in the "2025. g. Lieldienu vēstules" spreadsheet.
